UL-235 and Safety
The standard of which all vehicular gate operators are held to - for design and manufactured - is known as UL 325. This is the Underwriters Laboratories Inc. Standard for Safety as it pertains to door, drapery, gate, louver and window operators and systems.
The purpose of this safety standard is to ensure safety with using an automated gate. When used as recommended by the manufacturer, all automated gates offered by AutoGate Electric meet or exceed the UL-325 standard.
The UL-325 standard mandates secondary entrapment prevention devices, warning signs visible from both sides of the gate, control devices placed in a manner that eliminates the controller from entering harm's way of the gate or machinery and all rollers must be guarded.
