About Us
Founded by Joe Weik, AutoGate Electric has been providing automatic gates and access control systems to customers in the Washington DC metropolitan area for over a decade.
In 2004, David White, a talented designer and installer for AutoGate Electric, was looking to take greater control of his career. At the same time Mr. Weik was seeking a way to allow himself more time to focus on his particular interests both inside and outside the AutoGate Electric organization. In June of that year Mr. White purchased the company from Mr. Weik and assumed administrative control while retaining the experience and expertise of the company founder.
Both Mr. Weik and Mr. White share a passion for a quality product and outstanding service. While it is possible to purchase a successful business it is necessary to continually earn a good reputation. David White continues to build the company on a solid foundation, making excellent customer service the organization’s primary concern.
AutoGate Electric’s office, warehouse and shop facilities are located at 7970-A Forbes Place, Springfield, VA. From this location with easy access to I-495, AutoGate Electric’s trained 
service and installation technicians are dispatched throughout the metropolitan DC area to serve customers needs. The AutoGate Electric fleet of trucks is outfitted with the tools and parts for a variety of installation and repair situations. The AutoGate Electric warehouse is stocked with a large inventory of parts and supplies to expedite installation and repairs.
AutoGate Electric is the tradename for Anvid, Inc, a privately held Virginia corporation and is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the American Fencing Association.
